Cape Sunset Tours Magic

A visit to Cape Town would not be complete without going on a sunset tour. Cape Town is famous for its incredibly gorgeous sunsets.

The ideal venue for viewing these wondrous sunsets is usually a chartered yacht or boat. The tourist industry in Cape Town is thriving and the yacht basin is home to many vessels which take sightseers out to enjoy the special experience of a sunset tour. Many of these tours leave the harbour and venture out into the Atlantic Ocean and usually anchor near Clifton or Camps Bay beach to watch the sun set.

The boats and yachts come in various shapes and sizes and can accommodate a varied number of people; so if you have a small or large party there are services that will provide for your needs. The crews who man these vessels are friendly and well trained for your safety. Many of these boats are equipped with beverages and food so patrons can enjoy snacks and cold drinks as they take in the setting sun.

If you are not at home on the water then there are many alternatives which are just as attractive. Lion's Head and Signal Hill are easily reached and offer a magnificent view. Visitors should make their way up the mountain long before the scheduled sunset so they can enjoy a picnic and find a place to unwind while the sun sets out over the sea.

The most comfortable place is probably one of the many cafes in Camps Bay's, where you can request your favourite drink and watch as the sun sets. Or you could just take an unhurried amble down to one of Camps Bay or Clifton beaches with a picnic hamper and recline on the soft golden sand to watch the sun go down.

When the weather is perfect, which is most of the time, then the sunset tour is a perfect opportunity to see Cape Town in its full glory as you watch the sun set and the moon rise with Table Mountain as a backdrop.

Whether you are a local who has lived in Cape Town all your life or a tourist just passing through the city, a Cape sunset tour is the perfect way to showcase the beauty of the city and round off a hot summer's day.
