Motorhome Wheels: Taking BBQ On The Road
There are a lot of us that actually like food. We're aware that it's a necessity, but it can also be fun and exciting or boring and bland. And we choose the former. So when we jump in our motorhome to take off on a vacation we take food into account. You can go several different directions.

1. The Classic camping recipes: you know the drill...pick a good camp site and step outside of the motorhome to build a campfire. Then indulge in Hobo dinners or hot dogs followed by Dutch oven apple cobbler or Smores. Then put out the fire and get back in the motorhome for a quick shower before bed.
2. Normal everyday cooking: you are on vacation, but that doesn't mean that you have to cook/eat differently. You are welcome to keep up your normal eating habits on the road. That's one of the beauties of the motorhome kitchen.
3. Eating BBQ: this is a classic option and can definitely be enjoyed roadside. Just set up camp and settle in at a good spot before starting up the grill. Many RVs have a grill included in the set up, but if not...there are many campgrounds that offer grills as an amenity. Plus...new research suggests that BBQ is full of antioxidants.
Not excited about it? Well, you should be. Researchers at The University of Ontario completed a study on BBQ sauce. They decided that it is filled with herbs and spices that are antioxidants. These antioxidants can provide BBQ eaters with a boost to their immune system function.
BBQ sauces at your local grocer typically include the ingredients that are recognized as antioxidants. Some of the types that can be beneficial are: roasted red pepper, garlic and herb sauce, jerk sauce, sesame ginger teriyaki, etc. Doesn't that just make it even more exciting to fire up the BBQ grill? It's healthy!
And to make it even more healthy you can grill chicken. Or you can take it a step at a time by choosing low fat cuts of steak or even just opt for all beef hot dogs.
But then...you don't have to worry about being healthy unless you want to! It's your call...it's your vacation! If you want to worry about being healthy...do it. If you don't want to worry about being healthy...you can!
