Spring Break Cruises To The Bahamas- Student Or Family
12 weeks of school and mid terms are over. Several weeks have just been spent studying, cramming, study groups, and tests. There are many ways to spend your time when you are out of school. One of the popular choices of leisure and lounging amongst students all across the world in March are spring break cruises. Some choices for spring break are Mexico, and the Caribbean. Though, one of the more popular choices is a trip to The Bahamas.
Although spring break has received a negative connotation due to the underage drinking, use of drugs and the lowering of morals by vacationers many locations in the United States have raised the drinking age and have banned partying altogether. However, many destinations have catered to family friendly atmospheres thus creating a wide variety of locations to visit by all. Many students as well as families usually plan vacations during this hiatus by booking Spring Break Cruises to destinations like the Bahamas, Caribbean and Mexico.
With the many luxury cruise liners to choose from, one must do a little research to choose a cruise package that best fits their needs. There are many things too consider such as: budget, amenities, inclusive or not, and cruise styles. You can research these options via the world wide web or through a travel agency.
Shore and ship excursions will vary depending on the age of your family. Knowing the interest of your children will help you navigate through these options. Younger children may have more fun staying on board in a children's club or a nursery if available. Among the amenities offered by these cruises are dolphin encounters, snorkeling, rock-climbing walls, the latest video games, and water slides. For teens, you may find shore excursions (limited), spa programs, sun decks, and even teen-only discos.
Though a lot of this may sound like fun for the family, it may not be the kind of fun a young adult may be looking for. Planning a trip to the Bahamas, you'll want to visit as many ports as possible. Such ports as Freeport/Lucaya, Nassau/Paradise Island, Abaco, Bimini, and Eleuthera.
Although alcohol is one the reasons students embark on these trips the legal drinking age on any cruise ship is still 21. Regardless of the international waters myth which many think is a drink as you please line out in open waters, the truth is that a responsible cruise line will ID any and all young adults when purchasing drinks. Health nuts will find a veritable cornucopia of activities to stay fit plus all the exciting games that the Cruise Director can conjure up.
One of the most memorable moments on a cruise liner is the evening entertainment that is offered. Although mostly the same, the activities offered range from: Guest performers (comedians, illusionist, musicians, and singers); Regionally based single-night performances (some cruises will bring shows from the region in which they are porting); Adult-only (shows, pool area, and lounges); Production shows (song-and-dance, Cirque du Soleil, and rock shows)
Keep in mind that not all cruise destinations are for everybody. When picking a cruise for spring break have it be the Bahamas, Caribbean or Mexico, think about who will be traveling with you. Family vacations could be a catastrophe if there are to many college students hanging around while on the other hand college students want to stay away from cruises that focus on families only. With any of the cruises you choose one thing is for sure; you will definitely be fed well.
