Mount Teide National Park is among the most popular places to visit for tourists on the island. It has be named a World Heritage Site and attract many visitors annually. Hikers can go hiking using the many trails.

Visitors to the island generally venture to the summit of the volcano to see its crater. The crater is about ten miles in length and has a lunar landscape. It also has some of the world's most fascinating rock formations.
