Dog friendly hotels off a break for the whole family
Many people love their pets and just as many love their holidays, but all too often people are torn between the two. Many places do not except pets which can make going away unnecessarily difficult for the animal lover. This is often a position that many people do not want to find themselves in. Why should the choice be made between the family pet and a well deserved holiday break? Your dog is at your side through out the whole year and would it really fair to put him in a kennel for a week or two whilst you are away?
Some hotels mean you to not have to make that decision. Offering you and your dog the chance to holiday together meaning that you don’t have to pay kennel fees and most of all you won’t have to be apart from each other for the duration of the holiday. If holidaying with the family the kids will love taking the dog on holiday. It enables them and you to exercise the dog in the new unexplored surrounding areas and see what the break away from routine has in waiting to be discovered.
You want to be careful about where you choose as a location. Try and avoid city breaks as dogs will be more grateful for rural retreats that allow them to run around in open fields and woodlands. Besides offering accommodation for you and your pet, many hotels are situated in great locations that provide great parks as well as local beaches for your and your dog to explore. Walking the dog in the local areas provides you with the best excuse to go and explore what the holiday destination has to offer and allows you to really see the culture first hand. It is also recommended that you contact the hotel in advance to ensure that there are such local dog friendly locations and if the beaches (if there are any) welcome dogs. Its worth considering checking with the hotel if they have any guidelines that they want you to conform to whilst staying in the hotel, as you need to remember that there will be other guests there too.
The family dog is not just a pet they are an extension of your family, an additional member, one of the kids, and it is difficult for people without pets to really understand what you mean. If you are looking for Dog friendly hotels on the Isle of Wight then there are a few that are more than welcoming. Its always advisable contacting any possible hotels to allow them to address any possible question you have.
