Great Day Trips From London Hotels

A trip to London can mean many things. A romantic visit to the capital, a cool weekend with friends for the club scene or a family break to take in some of the most famous attractions, the city and the many London hotels will delight every visitor, whatever their age or reason for visiting.

Of course, in addition to London's own thriving network of visitor attractions, you can get just about anywhere from the city, taking trains, or driving out of town to discover new experiences further afield. It's a great way to get another perspective of the UK.

Whilst it may not have a sand beach, there's nothing quite like the feeling of the sea between your toes - even if its freezing cold! Less than hour away is the kiss-me-quick town of Brighton, where Londoners head for the weekend to enjoy the hundreds of restaurants, bars and clubs this vibrant town has to offer. There's plenty for families too, with a Sealife Centre, fairground Pier and of course, the beach. Be sure to have a fish and chip supper before heading back to the hotels of London.

If you're looking for a slice of history outside the centre of London, then you can book cheap hotels nearer to Windsor, which is officially where the Queen of England resides. It's the largest working and occupied palace in the world, and has been in use for almost 1000 years! You can take a tour around the State Apartments and learn more about this incredible palace.

But when you're feeling extra adventurous or simply feel like leaving the country for the day, Paris is your answer. Granted, it will be a long day, but it is well worth it to see the Eiffel Tower, eat macaroons and take a look at the impressive Notre Dame. The Eurostar is the perfect place to catch a few winks on your way there so you're bright eyed, bushy tailed and ready to say 'bonjour' to Paris. Why not see where London will take you...
