North Muskoka Resorts Reposition Brand

The successful North Muskoka Resorts group has repositioned their brand to the Resorts of North Muskoka. This organization of resort owners is based in Lake of Bays and Algonquin Park regions of Ontario and includes the towns of Dorset and Huntsville. Membership is by invitation only and includes fifteen waterfront resorts that together collectively market their brand.

The North Muskoka Resort group has been in operation for over five years, and during that time, have added to their resort membership. As well, they have considerably expanded their online web directory to include community and business resources that would benefit visiting tourists coming to the Muskoka region.

The new Resorts of Muskoka brand reflects the notion that many potential resort visitors are actively seeking the more rugged and less populated Lake of Bays and Algonquin areas of Muskoka, instead of the well known south Muskoka area, including the towns of Gravenhurst, Port Carling and Bracebridge, that some mistakenly believe is the entirety of the Muskoka tourist region.

"Some time ago we realized that the north part of Muskoka has something unique to offer tourists seeking a less developed area of pristine lakes and spectacular scenery," says Gord Bell, owner of Beauview Resort and one of the founders of the original resort group. "The Resorts of North Muskoka brand image change reflects our increasing marketplace presence in the mix of various Ontario Tourism segments," adds Bell.

Along with the organization's name change, comes a new logo and look for their web site. "We are actively using social media to market the organization in conjunction with the excellent placement of our web directory. We just recently added a quick loading mobile site to our arsenal of marketing solutions.

Resorts of North Muskoka offer a wide variety of waterfront accommodations properties, including housekeeping cottage resorts, and traditional Muskoka lodges. A region of spectacular nature beauty, the area known as North Muskoka runs along the northern boundary of Muskoka, from the town of Huntsville, Ontario to Lake of Bays in the east, and includes the towns of Baysville, Dwight and Dorset. In addition, the south west side of the Algonquin Provincial Park is also considered to be part of North Muskoka and is a very popular destination for tourists seeking pristine wilderness and wildlife viewing opportunities. Resorts of North Muskoka has several member accommodation properties right at the Park, including Bartlett Lodge and Algonquin Inn, but all Resorts of North Muskoka member resorts are an easy drive into Algonquin Park.
