Vegas Hotels & Happenings

Almost every American desires visiting Las Vegas. In the past, this was a city known for its casinos and organized crime. These days, it's a much different environment. Las Vegas is still the best place to gamble, but it has so much more to offer. For example, the best shows and hotels in the world are in Las Vegas. To make the city even more appealing, staying there is affordable. If you want to find out more about Las Vegas travel, you can find more detailed information below.

Newest Hotel Casinos

The two newest Las Vegas hotels are the Cosmopolitan and the Vdara Hotel & Spa at CityCenter. Let's begin with the Cosmopolitan. This is an eclectic hotel that happens to be easy to navigate. While there are many features to rave about, the neatest feature is the terraces. Each room comes with a terrace, but they can range in size. The largest terraces are 480 square feet. Regardless of the size of the terrace, the views of the Las Vegas skyline are superb. In addition to the terrace, every room comes with a small kitchen and Jacuzzi. Many guests have stated that they didn't want to leave. This makes sense considering the 4.5-star rating out of 474 reviews. Single rooms, double rooms and suites are available. Room rates have been slightly reduced since their opening, which gives any traveler a great opportunity to stay at what might be a temporary discount. There are also several restaurants to enjoy, which include Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grille and China Poblano.

Vdara Hotel & Spa at CityCenter is right behind the Bellagio. It should be stated right away that this hotel doesn't have a casino. This is a plus for some and a negative for others. Vdara focuses on relaxation opposed to gambling. Amenities include massage rooms, a health club, a spa tub, a sauna, a steam room and an outdoor pool. This is also a great place to stay for business travelers. There is a business center and free WiFi. Whether you're staying for business or pleasure, try to get an executive suite. It might be more expensive, but it's worth paying the extra money. An executive suite will give you a 270-degree view of the Bellagio fountains. This is something most people will never get to experience in their lifetime. Try to be one of the lucky ones.

Newest Celebrity Shows

Two of the newest celebrity shows in Las Vegas are Viva Elvis and Celine. Viva Elvis has received mixed reviews. People either love it or hate it. It seems as though a lot has to do with expectations. If you're expecting acrobatics and wild entertainment, you will be disappointed. If you want to learn about Elvis and experience what life was like in a different time, you will appreciate the show. It's important to keep in mind that this is a 90-minute show without an intermission. That's no different than the average movie, but many people expect an intermission.

Celine is Celine Dion's new show. She has decided to return to Las Vegas for a 3-year stint. The reviews for this show are out of this world. In addition to Celine's beautiful voice, the 31-piece orchestra is awe-inspiring. Even the lighting has drawn numerous compliments from show-goers.

New Vegas Attractions

Two of the newest Las Vegas attractions are Naked Pool and Mob Experience. These are both enticing titles, but let's focus on Naked Pool first. Naked Pool can be found at the Artisan Boutique Hotel. While the title has the word "Naked", it's really only topless. However, that doesn't stop people from visiting. Women are allowed in for free and men have to pay a $10 admission, which they usually don't mind. The two biggest events at Naked Pool are Beer Goggle Monday and Wasted Wednesday.

Mob Experience takes place at the Tropicana Hotel & Casino. This is an interactive museum that offers actual cars used by mobsters, life-size holograms and the overall history of the mob's role in Las Vegas. You can learn about all the real stories that focus on everything from money laundering to violence.
