What makes Ibiza a good holiday destination

Ibiza is an extremely popular holiday destination for people from all around the world and it is not difficult to understand why. There is so much to do on holiday in Ibiza as well as an excellent range of boutique hotels in Ibiza to stay in. Let's take a look more closely at what you can expect on a holiday in Ibiza:

Ibiza Town
Eivissa is the name of the Ibiza's capital. It is one of the oldest medieval towns in Europe and as such is a fascinating place to visit. As beautiful as it is historical there are small shops, restaurants and cafes found all along the narrow streets of Ibiza town. It is well worth spending a least half a day exploring the network of streets and alleys that make up this stunning town. When you get tired from walking you can dive into one of the many cafes or bars for a cool drink and some tapas.

Beaches
The beaches of Ibiza are simply stunning. Imagine sugar white sand leading down to warm turquoise waters. That is what Ibiza beaches are like. Some of the best hotels in Ibiza are located a stone's throw from the beach with dramatic views over the ocean. You can laze around on sunbeds soaking up the rays on any of the numerous beaches found on the island, cooling off with a dip in the sea. Don't forget to stop for a sundowner at a beach bar on the way back to your hotel.

Food
The food on the island really is second to none. As well as an fantastic range of Spanish delights and tapas you can find restaurants serving cuisine form all over the world. The restaurants are open usually between around 1 and 4 pm and then again from 8pm in the evening. The great thing about a holiday in Ibiza is you can eat very late so there is no rushing around in the evening. After dinner you have your pick of bars and nightclubs too, some of which stay open until dawn.

Shopping
There are many opportunities to shop on Ibiza. Many shops particularly those found in the old town do not close until midnight so there is always time on your Ibiza holiday to get in some retail therapy. If you like high end boutiques you will have many to choose from, as well as a great selection of high street stores.

With so many Ibiza luxury hotels to choose from and so much to do while on holiday in Ibiza you will want to keep going back year after year!
