California is one of the eminent tourist spots in the United States. From the snowcapped peaks of the Sierra Nevada to the sun saturated beaches of the Pacific Coast, California is possibly the most eclectic state in the union, with something to offer everyone. But one of California's sights pulls in more people than any other from all-around the country and around the world and that attraction is Disneyland.

Since that time, Disneyland has grown and continued to bring in visitors of all ages to sunny southern California. Disney is least in demand in the winter months, and particularly in January and February. If you can make it to the park on a weekday throughout these months, you will almost certainly not even have to remain in line. Alas, these months also embody the wet season in California, which may cause trouble. Because there are fewer guests, the park often uses this time to fix rides and to do essential preservation, so you might find certain rides are inaccessible. In addition, the park is open for less hours for the duration of these months.

The busiest times are during school national holidays or three day weekends. Most of the summer months, despite the probable high temperature, are the busiest time, with long waits and an overabundance of people. Anaheim, the homeland of Disneyland, is itself situated in a tourist destination, as it is part of the bigger Los Angeles metroplex. Laguna Beach, roughly half an hour from Anaheim, is the residence of 7 miles of shore populated by the tan and toned characters you might be expecting in this segment of the world, strolling the sand and the palm-lined streets.

Disneyland in southern California is a splendid family trip, as is Anaheim and it's encircling cities. Balmy weather and sunshine draw you to the beaches, the shopping and the dining draw you into the surrounding cities. Southern California is really a vacation filled with fun, family and frolic.
