The city's main attractions include the war widows mosaics which are the largest in the world and the National Gallery which has art from many time periods from modern to aboriginal. Sydney is another popular vacation choice. This city is the hub of Australia's travel and tourism industry and boasts the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Sydney's beaches and blue mountains create beautiful scenery.

Sydney offers you the perfect location if you are interested in cruises or wildlife tours amongst other outdoor activities. The people of Sydney crease a rich culture which is displayed through its traditions, languages, religions and art. Some other attractions in this area include the Australian Maritime Museum, the Chinese Garden and Sydney Aquarium.

The best scenery can be seen in the Northern Territory where the Red Desert is located. This is where Australia's famous icon presides. It is known as the Uluru and is a great stone monolith. This area has been home to the aborigines for centuries and their traditional rock paintings can be seen in the area. This is a ritual that is still practised.

Another area in the Northern Territory is Darwin. This city can be used as a base when visiting the rain forests, waterfalls and rock formations. Darwin is situated on the north coast and is a very multi-cultural city with over 50 ethnic groups comprising the population. The city has a number of restaurants, museums, art galleries and hotels as well as a popular nightlife. The main attractions boasted by this city are the Old Darwin Town House, the Old Police Station and Courthouse, Lyons Cottage and the Aboriginal Art Gallery.

Another popular part of Australia to visit is the Kakadu National Park. The park has some impressive scenery with a combination of waterfalls, red escarpment cliffs and long winding rivers. You can also visit galleries of Aboriginal rock art in this area. There is much wildlife and nature here with over 1000 species of plants as well as 300 species of birds, over 75 species of reptiles, mammals and many insects. This area also has around a quarter of all freshwater Australian fish. The Yellow Water is the biggest river and you can go on a cruise along this to view the area from a unique angle. The aboriginal art that you will see in this area is thought to be the world's oldest pieces of art.

There is much to see and do in Australia and the country can provide you with several types of vacation. It is easily accessible now as there are flights into it from most other countries.
