Fun trips for Easter
It seems like we only put our browning Christmas tree on the compost heap a few days ago, and already Easter is on its way. It's an early one this year, on the first weekend of April. If you've not got anything planned yet, then here's some tasty, well-hidden Easter eggs.

If you live in or around the Big Smoke
As if there wasn't enough chocolate kicking around over the Easter period, those who want more will be delighted to hear there's a chocolate festival at the Southbank Centre on the weekend of the 26 to 28 March, open from 11am to 8pm on the Friday and Saturday and 11am to 6pm on the Sunday.
There'll be lots of choccy-laden stalls and workshops and demonstrations in how to make various types of chocolate, including how to incorporate cocoa into savoury dishes (hint: goes really well in chilli!); and great tips from top chefs and chocolatiers. And all this for the most delicious price - free!
To find out more, go the the Southbank Centre website.
If it's a family Easter egg hunt you're after, then you could head down to Willows Farm Village in St Albans for their Easter Eggstravaganza It's running from 27 March until 18 April, and costs £11.95 or £12.95 - although entry is free for children under two years old.
If you live along the Thames, you can always check out the boat race on 3 April with a cool glass of Pimm's.
Go away!
Why not treat yourselves to a trip away this Easter. If you are a fan of getting out and about, how about flying over to the Czech Republic, there are Easter markets being held in Prague, in the Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square, from 20 March until 11 April.

It's surprising how often people take for granted the activities that are happening nearby, and put off exploring their own back garden, so to speak. The UK is full of great places to visit and great things to do.
For some ideas on what to do on your Great British Staycation, read our article ‘UK Family Holidays That Won't Break The Bank', and we've also got some great ideas for specific areas to visit - including the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and lovely Pembrokeshire to name but a few.
Don't forget that if you take out an annual multi-trip travel insurance policy, this will cover you for any number of domestic trips such as these - not only jaunts abroad!
But whatever you choose to get up to this Easter, the best advice is have an excellent time!
