Get To EPCOT -A Better Life

Opened In 1982 EPCOT was another idea that came from Walt Disney. The center that is part of the Walt Disney World is a place where you'll find the latest of cutting edge technologies presented to the public in an entertaining way. With the very nature of this park being based around new technology then it has been more suited to adult visitor to the world famous theme park.

In order to provide something of interest or inspiration, leaders of innovation in American industry were invited to stretch themselves in terms of technological advancement. Through the use of the research laboratories and other resources the best minds in new thinking were allowed to run free. In other words it's like a playground for the super intelligent which turns out to be a spectacle to stretch the imagination.

Started at the end of 1966 just before the end of Walt's Life, the park was opened and in a way was his gift back to the world that he grew up in. His dream was to one day use the ideas created in the park to make a better world for everyone. One of the main reasons for putting everything on display was that he hoped that the people that visited would be inspired to push their own boundaries.

One of the most famous images that ever had eyes laid on it, and something we associate with Disney is the 'Spaceship Earth'. This huge spherical attraction is where visitors are taken on a journey through time. If you don't know what I'm talking about then think of a giant golf ball and Disney and I'm sure you'll realize. At the end of your journey through the ages you are transported in to the future in the form of 'Project Tomorrow'.

Another famous area is the 'World Showcase' where countries of the world are represented from an educational perspective. Here you will see just how diverse this small planet really is and you'll have a little taste of each country's culture.

Children love the attraction named 'The Seas with Nemo and Friends' which was until recently known as The Living Seas. The attraction is based around the hit cartoon called Finding Nemo and you are invited to join in the search for the elusive clown fish. You will have Nemo's friends Dory and Marlin to guide you.

Be sure not to leave EPCOT without first experiencing the 3D demonstration which places you in such features as the film 'Honey I Shrunk The Kids'. Far beyond anything you will see in a run of the mill 3D cinema you will be amazed at what the limits of entertainment technology are.

There are simply too many things to mention here to do justice to the wonders on display. Every one of the body's senses will be tantalized as there are so many entertaining areas of the innovation haven. Any visit to Orlando and Walt Disney World would not be complete without being inspired by the marvels on display.
