Is Perhentian Island Malaysia A Perfect Honeymoon Spot?

If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful place to spend your honeymoon, you should consider Perhentian Island Malaysia. The two beaches here contain plenty to do, and the simple, quiet nature of the location lends itself well to romance. You and your beloved should have a fabulous time enjoying each other's company and getting closer to one another as you are vacationing in this beautiful are. Here is a partial list of things to do on the island:

Many people learn to scuba dive in nearby Thailand. But Thailand's beaches are very crowded, and once you master scuba diving you don't want to dive there. So many people head across the border and take up scuba diving on the island.

There are at least ten spots on the island meant for scuba diving. The most popular of these spots is Tokong Laut, which translates to Temple of the Sea. As you might imagine, this part of the ocean is filled with every sea creature imaginable. However, there are no sharks or other dangerous creatures in this area of the ocean. Those who are too scared to scuba dive can try snorkeling. You can safely snorkel off Coral Bay and see plenty of water creatures.

Visit shipwrecks. This requires diving, but if you are more interested in ships than sea life, you may enjoy diving into two wrecks hidden beneath the water. The Sugar wrecked in 2000, and the Vietnamese wrecked some time earlier. The latter wreck is large enough that you can explore the boat while diving.

Walk on the beach. Pasir Panjang, also known as the Long Beach, is perfect for honeymooning couples. This peaceful beach is by no means private, but it is far more quiet than the more populated areas of the island. In addition to simple walks and conversations, you and your partner can picnic on the beach. Simply pack a lunch and find a spot to sit.

This does not mean that there is no place to stay when you visit the island. On the contrary, there are a number of small shacks offering accommodations to island guests.

One such resort, the Tuna Bay, caters to families. Several families at a time can stay at this shack, and the staff and other guests tend to be outgoing and friendly.

Finally, if the rest of the island is not enough for you, visit the Pasir Panjang (in English, "The Long Beach"). This beach is a popular picnicking spot; families and couples can sit out on the sand and eat.

Although it might not sound like there is that much to do, Perhentian Island, Malaysia is one of the best vacation spots in the world. Beautiful beaches, clean water, and exquisite wildlife make this spot popular with both families and honeymooning couples.
