Looking For A Hotel Near Pioneer Place Mall

Anyone looking for someplace to stay in Portland, or for anyone interested in finding a hotel near Pioneer Place Mall, will be delighted to skim this little list of notable accommodations. Mind you, these establishments aren't ranked in any particular order -- they're pulled from a variety of sources and are meant to give the adventurous traveler some food for thought and options down the road. When you're on the road, the last place you want to sleep is on the road.

The hotel that puts you in the heart of things as far as Portland is concerned is Embassy Suites Downtown. This clean, somewhat generic hotel enjoys the advantage of being located blocks from the Convention Center, the Portland Art Museum, and the Pioneer Place shopping mall. It also has the distinction of being minutes form PSU and Portland International Airport. In terms of amenities, it offers all the standard fair you'd expect from an Embassy Suites.

If you're more inclined to be pampered with foam mattress beds and scented candles in every room, the Riverplace Hotel may be more your cup of tea. Speaking of which, each room is appointed with a medley of fine teas and organic coffees. The Riverplace is just a few minutes from the hustle and bustle of downtown and is designed to give its guests a nature-inspired refuge from the rush and the push of daily life.

You'll find the Shilo Inn just minutes from the Rose Garden Arena. While it may not strike you as particularly impressive, the Inn is a favorite of guests interested in shopping, shopping, and more shopping. Given that it's only a few blocks from the MAX Light Rail, you could be journeying to points unknown in a matter of minutes. The rooms are designed to be resplendent in retro-boutique style. This means smartly designed fixtures, furniture, coffeemakers, and more.

Rounding out this humble list of hotels is the Mallory. To be sure, its one of the more famous hotels in Portland, but it nonetheless deserves mention. What it lacks for in terms of unique amenities, it makes up for in its proximity to Pearl District. This trendy neighborhood is home to the plethora of hipsters that now call Portland home. The Mallory has become something of an ironic place to grab a drink, stay a night, and essentially look cool while you sip your martini.
